Article Guidelines
Be Specific - Write about a particular stock or ETF or something unique that is going on in the market but not being widely covered. Have a specific message you want to convey and don’t ramble aimlessly.
Be Fundamental - Address the company’s competitive environment, management, products, corporate strategy, earnings outlook, valuation and/or balance sheet. We really are not about publishing pure technical analysis but using technical analysis to support the overall article is accepted.
Be Opinionated and Logical - We welcome ‘long cases’ and ’short cases’ for stocks, but be sure to provide sound, in-depth reasoning for your positions and don’t make wild hyped up predictions of "1000% Gains by Friday" kind of stuff. Don’t set price targets as that is not allowed unless you are a CFA with an SEC number.
Be Unique – Write about stocks or ETFs that others aren’t writing about. If you do cover something well known, bring a new perspective that others may have missed. Be known Providing your real identity will build credibility and reputation for your work. We do, however, accept anonymous contributions.
Don’t Plagerize – Please don’t submit other people’s writing in whole or in part. That’s not cool. We will run checks on all submitted stories prior to publishing them.
Less is More – Mark Twain once said, "If I would have had more time, I’d have written a shorter letter!" Please limit articles to no more than 750 words (500 or less is preferrable). Make sure you focus your topic and make your points and draw your conclusions in clear and concise ways whenever possible.
Photos, Charts & Graphics - Photos, charts and graphics always make articles more interesting if they support the message and theme of the article. Please email us any supporting graphics or photographs in .JPG format.
